Your visuals
on the grid.
Visual Buddy reads Traktor's metadata and MIDI clock, then plays the right video at the right BPM — automatically. No VJ software, no timeline, no babysitting a laptop while you're mixing.

Everything a DJ needs.
Nothing a VJ has to babysit.
Auto-Sync
Drop a video next to your audio with the same name. Visual Buddy reads Traktor's metadata and loads the matching clip the moment the track goes live.
Hotcue Triggering
Map any clip to any hotcue, per deck. Hit cue 3 for the drop visual — the loop fires on the beat and falls back when it's done.
Remote Capability
Run the renderer on a second computer on the same network. Your DJ laptop keeps its CPU for the mix; the other machine does the pixels.
MIDI Clock Lock
24 PPQN clock straight from Traktor gives true BPM and beat phase. Playback rate and effects ride the grid, not an audio guess.
Beat-Reactive FX
Strobe, RGB shift, zoom pulse and scanlines driven by the actual downbeat. Layer them per track or leave them off.
No Plugins
Nothing is injected into Traktor. It speaks the protocols Traktor already ships: Broadcast metadata and MIDI clock out.
Three moving parts. One of them is you.
Run the bridge
A small Python script on your DJ laptop catches Traktor's broadcast metadata on port 8000 and opens your virtual MIDI port for clock and hotcue notes.
Point at your clips
Open the visualizer and pick your video folder once. Files are indexed by name and matched against whatever Traktor says is playing.
Throw it on the wall
Send the output window to your second display or projector. Beat-locked video for the whole set, hands free.

The bridge is a single Python file. The renderer is a browser window. If your machine can play a 1080p MP4, it can run Visual Buddy.
